Children are fascinated with money from the time they can pick it up and put it in their mouths. However, it has very little meaning to them. In our society they may not even realize that cash has value since we are a debit and credit nation. I'm sure my boys have seen me use a debit card at the store far more times than I've used cash.

Here are the highlights for the weekend.
Tucson Gem and Mineral Show, Tucson Arena and Exhibit Halls, 10am-6pm, $9 Fee, All Ages The Show is open to the public and presents retail Dealers only. Proceeds from the Show remain in the Tucson economy and are used to support mineral knowledge and appreciation. Children 14 years and under are free with a paying adult. Saturday, February 14, 2009 is "Military Appreciation Day" and all active and retired military and their dependents with military ID are admitted free of charge.
